José Peñagarícano, M.D.Director of Gamma Knife Program Phone: 501-686-7100 Fax: 501-686-7285 Dr. Peñagarícano obtained his bachelor degree in mathematics from Georgetown University in 1988 and his medical degree form UCCEM in Puerto Rico in 1992. He completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology in 1996 at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Current clinical interests include pediatric and head and neck malignancies. Research interests include biological- and dose-based intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) planning, radiobiological response parameters & their use in biological optimization of IMRT plans and new models of normal tissue complication probability (NTCP).
